Aiea General Hospital closed its doors in 1983. With the hospital's remaining assets, its Board of Directors established a trust in 1985 as an expression of gratitude to area residents for their many years of support. To be eligible, applicants must be a resident of one of these Leeward O'ahu zip code areas: 96701, 96706, 96707, 96782, 96792 or 96797.
