Describe your college in three sentences.

Briercrest is a place of transformation. All the staff and faculty care about the students' lives and well-being, as well as their academic performance. The faculty are all very knowledgable and the classes are well-suited to the needs of the program they're designed for.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Don't think that your experience will be the same as everyone else'sâ??be open to anything. Bring yourself to class everyday ready to learn about the course content, and also about the biblical principles related to that class.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

As the school expects students to spend time and focus on homework, it is more rigorous than other schools. Because of this, there are many staff who's jobs are entirely dedicated to helping students with whatever homework or exam problems they may have.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

There's nothing like dorm life at Briercrest. Students are put into dorms based on their personalities, and are given room mates in their first year. Students almost always live in dorm until they're 21, and this creates such a beautiful community dynamic that builds relationships so quickly. The Resident Directors and Assistants are there to care for and help everyone in their dorm.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Honestly, the food isn't that great. The good thing about the food is that it's shared in one big cafeteria where community is, once again, built very quickly.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Since this is a small town, students have to get creative to find things to do. There are 3 coffee shops in town, and lots of people go there and hang out, drink coffee, watch sports, and play ping pong. People often go into Moose Jaw to go to movies, escape rooms, axe throwing, to restaurants, and other things.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

While the classes are expensive, they're worth it. Not many other places have Bible classes incorporated into provincially accredited programs. There are many ways to get involved in extra-curricular, and most of them are paid in scholarships.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

We yell "hangar" when the opposition of our volleyball teams hit the ceiling with the ball.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Christians who are seeking more biblical/ministry training, or who want to get an accredited degree (like business, psychology, history, etc.) while being discipled.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

There's actually a lot to do for such a small campus. Intramural sports (like basketball, volleyball, spike ball, dodgeball), art nights, bonfires, movies on the lawn, coffee houses, talent shows, student government, Youth Quake team, internships with departments like recruitment and communications, watching your fellow dorm friends playing their sports.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

Voted #4 safest off campus on CampusRankings so that shows how safe it is! There isn't a lot that goes on in the small town and we've got enough campus security to keep everyone safe if anything happens.
