Read What Students Are SayingMCAD is really great in its curriculum - freshmen have to take mostly foundation classes, but they all pertain to your major . . . meaning, there are no science or math courses you are required to take. Classes are small - usually less than 20 people, meaning you get a lot of one-on-one with the teacher. I found this especially helpful in my drawing classes, where pretty much every day I got a lot of advice on how to improve my technique and mindset toward drawing. Critiques can be especially helpful in developing.

The atmosphere is just really huge. People are going out and making art even outside of class, and you're being pushed harder than ever before, and it's just this amazing environment that pushes you to do your best. It's transformed me already.
