Missions/Missionary Studies and Missiology

If you're a follower of Christ and want to devote your life to spreading his word, majoring in missionary studies may be the right choice. Missionary studies programs focus on the practice and theory of social service and religious outreach. Instruction will focus on evangelism, theology, social mission work, emergency services, and missionary education. Your studies will not be restricted to providing enlightenment alone. You will get the chance to help others overcome various obstacles and find solutions for their worldly or spiritual dilemmas. Missionary studies majors can find work as priests, adult educators, ministers, education administrators, teachers, or social workers. Some may also end up working for charities or activist groups.
