Battle Creek Community Foundation

Eligible recipients will be minorities that are graduating seniors of Battle Creek area public high schools, or non-traditional college students residing within the Battle Creek area who have been living independently from their parents. While financial need will be considered, recipients (both graduating seniors and non-traditional college students) will have portrayed the values of William E. Boards, Jr. which include: education, individuals needing a chance or helping hand to develop their full potential; and service, having demonstrated service to, or caring for others (within family, neighborhood, church, etc.). Consideration will be given to individuals who have demonstrated that they are making a positive change in the direction of their life. Graduating seniors must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
