New York State World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship
New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC)
This is a college scholarship for children, spouses, and financial dependents of deceased/disabled persons who have died, or students who themselves have become severely and permanently disabled, and survivors who were severely and permanently disabled during the September 11th attacks or rescue and recovery operation. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students at approved colleges and other post-secondary institutions in New York. New York resident family members who were enrolled in undergraduate programs at U.S. colleges or universities located outside of New York State on September 11, 2001 are also eligible for scholarship payment at that school.
