Mary Jane Bachtell Memorial Creative Writing Award

This award is for juniors and seniors at Yellow Springs High School in Yellow Springs, Ohio. To qualify, applicants must submit a creative writing portfolio no more than 20 double-spaced pages. The submitted material may represent all or part of several works. All writing forms are acceptable except personal letters, diaries, or journals. Seniors may win up to $600 cash and a certificate of excellence; juniors may receive a $50 award and a certificate of merit.
