Ircel Harrison Theological Scholarship

Tennessee Cooperative Baptist Fellowship CBF

Ircel Harrison served as Tennessee CBF Coordinator from 1998 to 2008. After his retirement, the staff and Coordinating Council of TCBF decided to rename the TCBF Theological Scholarship in his honor. Ircel has been a strong supporter of theological education in Tennessee CBF life. He was instrumental in establishing the Murfreesboro, Tennessee teaching site of Central Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition, Ircel has supported women in ministry and encouraged opportunities for their theological education.
An endowment fund for granting theological scholarships was established with the CBF Foundation in 2000. Tennessee CBF grants at least one $1,000 theological scholarship each year from the interest earned on this fund. As additional funds continue to be placed in the endowment fund, TCBF will be able to offer additional scholarships or increase the amount of the scholarships. See website for details.
