Acoustical Society of America Graduate Fellowship for Minorities

To be eligible for the fellowship, the applicant must have permanent residence or citizenship in the United States at the time of application. He/she must also be a member of an ethnic minority group (Hispanic, African-American, or Native American) that is underrepresented in the sciences. Evidence of acceptance into, or good academic standing in, a graduate degree program is also required.
The award consists of a $20,000 stipend for one academic year, to be dispensed over a 9-month period through the host institution. The award can be renewed for a second year of graduate study, upon receipt of a report from the recipient’s academic advisor indicating that the recipient is making normal progress toward the degree and will remain a full-time student in good academic standing at the university.
