Scholarship Marathon

Our annual Scholarship Marathon encourages CBO students to complete more admissions and scholarship applications.

Every February, students submit confirmation(s) of completed admissions or scholarship applications to enter a raffle for hourly gift card giveaways or the grand prize, a $1000 tuition scholarship from College Greenlight!

We are also providing two $500 donations to a CBO or college access organization, so student submissions work twice as hard when submitted! Each entry that lists a partner CBO increases the organization's chances of winning a donation from College Greenlight.

Entry rules:
  • Only CBO-affiliated students with a complete Appily profile who submit one or more entries between 9am and 3pm Central Time on the day of the event are eligible to win. (We reserve the right to independently verify completed applications for accuracy and veracity.)
  • Winning organizations must submit a W-9 and have the ability to accept ACH payments to be eligible for the donation.

FAQs

Q: What do I need to submit to be eligible for gift card raffles and the $1,000 scholarship?

A: To be considered for our hourly raffles and the $1,000 scholarship, please submit a confirmation for each of the scholarship applications you have completed with a separate entry form. We accept the following forms of conformation:

  1. 1. A digital photo, scanned photocopy, or screenshot of each completed scholarship and college application.
  2. 2. A digital photo, scanned photocopy, screenshot of the webpage, or forwarded email indicating you have successfully submitted a scholarship or college application

College Greenlight reserves the right to independently verify the accuracy of each college and scholarship application we receive.

Q: When will gift card raffles take place?

A: We will raffle gift cards each hour, starting at 10am Central Time and ending at 3pm Central Time.

Q: How will gift card winners be announced?

A: Gift card winners will be announced on College Greenlight's Twitter page during the Scholarship Marathon. We will also email each winner using the email address listed in their completed entry form.

Tip: Add [email protected] to your address book to make sure our email doesn't go to your spam folder.

Q: How will the $1,000 scholarship winner be determined?

A: The scholarship will be awarded based on the quantity of completed entry forms and the quality of the students' entry. We encourage CBO students to apply to as many scholarships as possible and be thorough with each marathon entry.

Q: How do I contact the College Greenlight team?

A: Before the marathon, email is the best way to get in touch with us ([email protected]). Be sure to include your name and contact information in the email so we can reply to your question promptly!
